Kundalini Yoga - with Selena Clauson

More than twenty years ago I went to my first yoga class and after trying many styles and studios I realized I was looking for something deeper, this is how I found and fell in love with Kundalini yoga. Kundalini yoga is a blend of Bhakti yoga (the yogic practice of devotion and chanting), Raja yoga (the practice of meditation/mental and physical control), and Shakti yoga, (the expression of power and energy). It is an ancient yoga tradition that was brought to America in the 1960s. It has shown me that yoga is not an activity, it’s a way of life.

The word yoga means ‘to yoke’, ‘unite’, ‘connect’, or essentially to become ‘whole’, so by practicing each aspect of yoga on and off the mat, we can move further towards feeling as though we already have enough, and we already are enough within ourselves.

All yoga is great for mind, body, and spirit but kundalini yoga in particular has been shown in clinical studies to improve depression, anxiety, sleep, and other mental and emotional concerns. As a teacher I have been given the opportunity to share my love of Kundalini and providing classes on a donation basis allows me to focus on the teaching and expanding my own yoga practice.

All donations collected will be given to the Vivid group to provide financial assistance for clients in need.

No matter where you are or who you are, may you never be a prisoner of your own body, mind, and emotions. May you know the power of liberating yourself through yoga - Sadhguru
