Manu Sharma
Registered Provisional Psychologist
I believe that everyone has the ability to make positive changes in their lives. It is my privilege to support individuals on this otherwise daunting task. Through a collaborative therapeutic relationship built on compassion and empathy, we can embark on this journey towards healing.
I strive to create a collaborative relationship with my clients and emphasize authenticity in my practice. I believe in exploring contextual factors to determine sources of psychological distress, such as factors within an individual’s environment and broader society. I believe in exploring a person’s strengths to help them develop skills that can be applied to areas of life where they are struggling. My approach incorporates and addresses issues of diversity and draws from therapeutic models including, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness.
My clinical interests include, but are not limited to, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), traumatic brain injury, depressed mood, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, career dissatisfaction, sleep difficulties, chronic pain, work-related stress, and anger management.
